right after the Knicks won the city came to life in a way i hadn’t experienced since i was a teenager
everything felt so raw with immense loving energy in the air and happiness and i was reminded of why i’m lucky to be born here and what makes it such a special place
even at 2am children were still outside with parents celebrating, bus drivers were dancing and honking, fire trucks were blaring alarms with joy, and i saw 3 kids that couldn’t be older than 8 in the basketball court on W4th street playing
this illustration was inspired by those kids the new generation and future to come!
